Mois\u00e9s drove carefully, as if he understood that she had not merely crossed a country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She had crossed into a version of her life she had never been shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the first twenty minutes, he spoke only enough to guide her through the silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Roberto had updated his will twice in the last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The plane ticket had been purchased months before his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instructions had been left with dates, names, signatures, and contingencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho is Tadeo?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mois\u00e9s glanced at her in the mirror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou found the photograph.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe is the reason you are here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
